Got the third case!!! Or at least, should have it. I'm trying not to get TOO excited until after I get in touch with the CM and get staffed (I swear she's impossible to find - every time I call the office, she's never at her desk) because she seems like the kind of person who might tell me "No...not gonna let you do it, the hours are too messed up." But besides her, the BSC and the teacher both agree having even half the day staffed is better than nothing at all, so I'm in! If all goes well, I'll start working for Smaller Boy on Monday!

Oh, and I hate this weather - it hasn't even hit yet, but it's ruining my plans! Supposed to have the preview show on Sunday, but the school is shut down after hours from now until Sunday because of "impending weather." This is a ridiculously common occurrence around here; we get all kinds of severe weather warnings, close everything up, and then NOTHING HAPPENS. If we get a boatload of snow this weekend, fine, I accept. But for some reason, I doubt it will be that bad for us.

Brand new floor mat arrived at Cheltenham, got to use it tonight. It started off looking all bright and shiny - white on one side, black on the other - very thick, very nice. Of course, it had scuff marks all over it by the end of practice because of how the girls drag their flags in the show, and it's going to look like crap on Sunday because of the bad fold job we did. I was the only one who had any idea how to fold the mat, and although it was easy enough teaching the girls how to fold it on the ground, teaching them how to fold it onto the cart is something else entirely. So...there's that. At least the rifle work is looking better.

There's a small possibility that I could pick up a third case, with the BSC who works with Little Boy, at my old elementary school. With a teacher I'm familiar with, although I never actually had him for class. Would be SO awesome. I'm going to get my hopes up way to high just by writing about it here, but what the hell - if they don't want me, I understand why. This new case needs a lot of hours - the whole school day, actually - and I can only do the morning, but the BSC is so desperate that she's willing to split the hours between two TSS, especially since she knows I'd be on board for the morning. It's just a matter of whether the teachers agree with that or not. So we'll see. And as for my excitement, it'd be awesome enough to have another school case, 15 hours a week, and with a BSC that I know - even cooler that it'd be at my old elementary school. I haven't been there since Jimmy graduated - so, actually, also the day I graduated from high school? Or at least the same week.

Okay, so I didn't watch The Grammys. I don't really care about them. I like music, I just don't care. (Now, Oscars, that's different.) But I think it's HILARIOUS how, after Kanye West was completely rude to Taylor Swift a couple months ago, everyone was all up in arms around her - and now that she won over Lady Gaga, everyone's like OMG TAYLOR SUX KANYE WAS RIGHT. BAHAHAHA HYPOCRITES. I would love to see someone say, Oh, I'm upset that the artist I prefer didn't win but I have to admit the one who DID win is good - but that's not going to happen. Because people are funny, silly, stupid little hypocrites. And I don't even care who wins the awards, I seriously don't - I just think people are funny.

Trying super hard to get my sleep patterns regular - been in bed by eleven the past two nights but still sleeping past my alarm. Gonna take a little while.

Things have been so off this past week. Little Girl has been particularly noncompliant, although at least she wasn't yelling at the other students. And Little Boy...crazy. Monday and Wednesday were nightmares - he was out of his cycle really badly from a bus/backpack incident on Monday (he's OCD so he needs his routine) and that threw off the whole day, to the point that it was almost impossible to get him to do anything that afternoon. And yesterday he had an awful meltdown out of nowhere during a walk. He went from seemingly not feeling well (curled on the ground, rocking) to flat out screaming, crying uncontrollably, about to pinch his mother's arms off - and she was fed up too because he was crying so hard that he wouldn't listen to us enough to go into the house, so she shut herself up in the garage with him and sent me inside to sit with the little brother. Nightmare. BUT Tuesday and tonight, he was so perfectly behaved, there were no issues at all. Totally compliant, pleasant. VERY strange.

Cheltenham's preview show is next Sunday, exciting! The rifle work is all taught, just have to massively clean. Last night's practice was canceled because they had midterms this week, so we're doing a makeup on Sunday, plus practice next Sunday before the show. First competition at Hatboro-Horsham coming up fast.

Haven't been able to write the past few days, but I've been outlining when I can and trying to figure things out since so much is changing. Having such an issue with when to explain certain things. I need to hurry up and finish so I can have people read it and give me their opinions for the NEXT rewrite!

Learning new things all the time - got an updated copy of Little Girl's treatment plan today, since all her paperwork had to be redone with her re-authorization - good thing, because there were new goals, at least so far as my involvement. The front page of all treatment plans has the diagnosis listed according to Axis in the DSM-IV, and under Axis II it said "V71.09" - which meant nothing to me. And I'm about to freak out thinking, okay, Axis II is personality disorders/MR, and I didn't think she had any, so the heck is this? Google is such an amazing thing. Anyway, V71.09 is what you write when there is no disorder on Axis II. Good to know.

Big day at Little Boy's house - father must've bought new furniture or something, because he had massive boxes for the kids. So tall that I probably could've stood up inside. So the older and younger brothers had a fun time claiming their new houses, cutting doors and windows and all - there was no box for Little Boy, whether because there were only two boxes anyway or because the father actually does things like that - he didn't seem to mind, his older brother was willing to share with him and he's not so much a fan on sitting in empty dark boxes anyway. Still.

Sooo close to having the whole weapons section taught - I got within 25 counts of the ending for the rifle line, and I taught most of the saber work to the girl doing that. Having a sectional on Sunday, so hopefully I'll get the rest taught and then we can start cleaning. And cleaning. And cleaning. Don't know if the floor mat will be here by the first show. The first show may very well be a trainwreck. But that's okay.
